I grew up here at Hurley Baptist Church. My family joined in 1992, and I was here at Hurley until I graduated High School at East Central in 2003. I am married to a wonderful woman named Rebekah. We have three sons, John Weston, Max and Cohen. These four people mean the world to me. I have been in ministry since I've been married (almost to the day). I served as Youth Pastor before coming to Hurley as Pastor. I graduated from East Central High School in 2003, MGCCC with an Associate of Arts in 2006, The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in 2009, and from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in 2012. I love being a pastor, but even more I love following Jesus Christ. He truly has radically changed my life, and I am a testimony that He can use anyone to bring Him glory.
Who most influenced your life both generally and in ministry?
While I have served under a few great pastors, Todd Bowen, the former pastor at Escatawpa Baptist Church, truly has helped me to become the pastor and man of God that I am today. He taught me so much that seminary never could, and I owe a great debt of gratitude to him for his friendship and leadership in my life.
Who is your favorite sports team?
I love the University of Mississippi. While I graduated from USM, and I hope they win, I'm truly an Ole Miss fan.
How would you best describe yourself?
I am a family man. Apart from my relationship with Christ, they are the most important thing in my life. I love my wife and boys dearly, and truly believe that God has given me a perfect gift in them.
